Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation, a leading aerospace and national security company, seeks an Aircraft Inspector IV to ensure airworthiness and compliance with manufacturer specs and DoD/FAA regulations. You will oversee in-process and final inspections, document findings, and approve for return to service of complex systems and components.

You will lead training for junior inspectors, conduct audits, and deploy to CONUS/OCONUS locations as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• FAA A&P certification required.
• IA designation preferred or required.
• Active DoD security clearance expected for employment.
• Must be willing to deploy to CONUS/OCONUS locations and travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex aircraft inspections.
• Develop and implement inspection protocols.
• Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of findings.
• Address and resolve significant compliance issues.
• Lead training and mentorship programs for junior inspectors.
• Conduct periodic audits of maintenance processes.
