Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking an Aircraft Inspector III to perform complex inspections and ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance. You will plan, prepare, and maintain inspection documentation while mentoring junior inspectors and meeting schedules.

Ideal candidates have FAA A&P certification, 3+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of aircraft systems and inspection processes. The role involves potential overtime in a challenging defense/aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of relevant inspection experience is required.
• FAA A&P certification is required.
• Thorough knowledge of aircraft, systems, equipment and parts.
• Familiarity with inspection methods and airworthiness evaluation.
• Proficient with Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex aircraft inspections and audits.
• Plan and prepare for comprehensive inspections.
• Maintain detailed and accurate inspection documentation.
• Address significant non-conformities.
• Train and mentor junior inspectors.
• Ensure timely completion of inspection schedules.
