Job summary

ACET, Incorporated is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic II - Avionics/Electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical systems and avionics on aircraft. The role combines electrical theory with mechanical skills to restore airframe and powerplant readiness for DoD operations.

As a Tier II Mechanic, you will prioritize workloads to meet timelines, contribute data for engineering changes, and occasionally lead field teams while mentoring junior technicians.

Qualifications

• DoD Secret Security Clearance to access airfield and installation.
• Advanced knowledge of aircraft electrical theory, wiring repair, circuit troubleshooting, and avionics systems integration.
• Combined technical experience in general airframe maintenance, powerplant troubleshooting, and mechanical component replacement.
• Mastery of specialized electronics test equipment and precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical diagrams, blueprints, logs, and data sheets.
• Proven ability to manage schedules, prioritize tasks under pressure, and mentor junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and modify aircraft electrical systems, wiring harnesses, avionics components, and networks of moderate difficulty.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair broader aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical assemblies.
• Provide data inputs for Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC) and ECOD and assist in changes to MWO.
• Lead maintenance teams through complex electrical tasks and approve peer work.
• Interpret and apply electrical diagrams, schematics, blueprints and manuals to solve advanced issues.
• Operate avionics test equipment and basic sheet metal tools for integration tasks.
• Document maintenance actions in logs and records with minimal supervision.
