Job summary

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated seeks an experienced Aircraft Mechanic II - Avionics/Electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical systems and avionics suites. The role blends aircraft electrical theory with mechanical skills to restore airframe and powerplant systems for mission readiness.

As a Tier II Mechanic, you will shift priorities to meet project timelines, provide data inputs for engineering changes, and occasionally lead field

Qualifications

• DoD Secret security clearance to access airfields and installations (must possess or be able to obtain).
• Advanced knowledge of aircraft electrical theory, wiring repair, and avionics integration.
• Combined experience in general airframe maintenance, powerplant troubleshooting, and mechanical replacement.
• Experience with specialized electronics test equipment and precision mechanical tools.
• Ability to read complex electrical diagrams, blueprints, logs, and data sheets.
• Proven ability to manage schedules, prioritize shifting tasks, and mentor junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and modify aircraft electrical systems, wiring harnesses, avionics components, and interconnected networks of moderate difficulty.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair broader aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical assemblies.
• Provide data inputs for MEC and ECOD reports and assist in MWOs.
• Lead maintenance teams through complex integrated electrical tasks, prioritize workloads, and perform QA tracking to inspect and sign off on peer work.
• Interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer manuals to solve issues.
• Operate avionics test equipment, automated test panels, torque wrenches, micrometers, and basic sheet metal tools for integration tasks.
• Document maintenance actions in aircraft logs and maintenance records with minimal supervision.
