Job summary

Google seeks a Senior Engineer to shape AI/ML hardware acceleration and drive TPU technology powering Google's most demanding AI/ML applications. You will contribute to custom silicon solutions powering TPU and verify complex digital designs focused on TPU integration with AI/ML systems.

You will own cross-functional hardware-software integration, validation across RTL, emulation, and FPGA, and coordinate Design, DV, Firmware, and Architecture teams to ensure robust tapeouts for Google's AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in two of: computer architecture, embedded firmware, ASIC design or verification, or IP integration/enabling.
• Experience in hardware/software integration and validation.
• Experience with RTL development, design verification, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Review chip specs and designs, planning hardware/software integration with cross-functional partners.
• Lead bringup of ML compute features, integrating and validating complex hardware/software designs including third-party IPs.
• Develop validation firmware to verify hardware functionality and performance.
• Execute hardware-software co-simulation using RTL, emulation, and FPGA environments.
• Design test plans and microbenchmarks coordinating DV, Firmware, and Architecture teams.
