Job summary

AWS Specialist Technology Team (STT) is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Specialist AI Tooling engineering team—the group building AI-native, agentic solutions that transform how AWS specialists develop expertise and get matched to engagements.

You will build production GenAI features and agentic systems at AWS scale, solving hard problems in knowledge graphs, multi-agent orchestration, and retrieval-augmented generation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience on large systems.
• 1+ years of building multi-tiered or distributed software systems.
• Experience with at least one major programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement production agentic AI systems using LLMs, knowledge graphs, RAG, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Build and optimize GenAI-powered pipelines including summarization, content ranking, and intelligent routing.
• Develop and iterate on prompt engineering strategies, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails for production LLM systems.
• Implement embedding and retrieval strategies for a knowledge base used by agents.
• Design and build scalable distributed systems and APIs powering the TFC Hub platform.
• Drive operational excellence for production services including CI/CD, monitoring, on-call, and incident response.
• Contribute to technical strategy and architecture decisions to improve performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Science, and field stakeholders to translate problems into technical solutions.
