Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the Specialist AI Tooling team within the STT group. The role focuses on building AI-native, agentic solutions that scale to thousands of AWS field members.

You will design, build, and operate core components across four products powering the AWS Specialist Ecosystem, including learning, routing, community hub, and service 360. This is a high-impact production role at AWS scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years in design or architecture of large-scale systems.
• 1+ year of software engineer or related experience.
• 1+ year designing and developing distributed software applications (multi-tier, multi-threaded) using C#, C++, Java or Perl.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement production agentic AI systems using LLMs and knowledge graphs.
• Build GenAI-powered pipelines for summarization, ranking, and routing.
• Develop prompt engineering strategies, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails for production LLMs.
• Implement embedding and retrieval strategies for knowledge bases used by agents.
• Design and build scalable distributed systems and APIs powering the TFC Hub.
• Drive CI/CD, monitoring, on-call, and incident response for production services.
• Contribute to technical strategy and architectural decisions to improve performance.
• Collaborate with PM, Science, and field stakeholders to translate problems into technical solutions.
