Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Specialist AI Tooling engineering team. You will design, build, and operate core AI components powering the Specialist Ecosystem at scale.

You will work on production GenAI features, knowledge graphs, RAG, and multi-agent orchestration to deliver personalized, efficient expert matching for thousands of AWS field members daily.

Qualifications

• 3 years of non-internship software development experience.
• 2 years of design or architecture experience on new or existing systems.
• 1 year of software development engineer or related experience.
• 1 year of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement production agentic AI systems using LLMs, knowledge graphs, RAG, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Build and optimize GenAI-powered pipelines including summarization, content ranking, and routing.
• Develop prompt engineering strategies, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails for production LLM systems.
• Implement embedding and retrieval strategies for a knowledge base.
• Design and build scalable distributed systems and APIs powering the TFC Hub platform.
• Drive operational excellence for production services including CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.
• Contribute to technical strategy and architecture decisions to improve performance and velocity.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Science, and field stakeholders to translate problems into technical solutions.
