Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Specialist Technology Team's AI tooling group in Bellevue, WA. You will design, build, and operate core components powering AI-native, agentic solutions for thousands of AWS specialists and field teams.

The role emphasizes production systems that leverage LLMs, knowledge graphs, RAG, and multi-agent orchestration to deliver personalized learning, expert matching, and scalable service routing at AWS scale.

Qualifications

3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2 years of non-internship design or architecture experience on large systems.
1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.

Responsibilities

Design and implement production agentic AI systems using LLMs, knowledge graphs, RAG, and multi-agent orchestration.
Build and optimize GenAI pipelines for summarization, ranking, and routing at scale.
Develop prompt engineering strategies, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails for production LLMs.
Implement embedding and retrieval strategies for knowledge bases for agent use.
Design and build scalable distributed systems and APIs powering the TFC Hub across domains.
Drive operational excellence for production services including CI/CD, monitoring, on-call, and incident response.
Contribute to technical strategy and architecture decisions with cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with Product, Science, and field stakeholders to translate problems into technical solutions.
