Job summary

Thomson Reuters in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, AI, to build AI-driven enterprise systems spanning AI orchestration, RAG pipelines, and production-ready APIs and UIs.

You will collaborate with AI researchers, engineering leadership, design, and product to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions across legal, tax, risk, and compliance domains. The role offers a hybrid work model and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with production AI/ML features (RAG/LLMs/agents).
• Proven track record across the lifecycle: discovery, architecture, deployment, operations, and metrics.
• Strong Java/Spring Boot backend and modern frontend (React/Vue/Angular) with RESTful APIs.
• Proficient in Python with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) and MLOps.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform; API gateways and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-scale AI systems with multi-component pipelines and RAG architectures.
• Apply new AI techniques, prototype feasibility, and contribute to internal tech talks.
• Provide architectural guidance, mentor engineers, and promote MLOps/LLMOps.
• Ensure quality, security, and observability for AI systems, complying with governance.
• Collaborate with researchers, product, and design to optimize latency, cost, and UX.
