Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to be the technical trusted advisor to customers, bridging complex capabilities and business outcomes, and whiteboarding architecture with data engineers while presenting ROI to executives.

You will own the technical win, lead discovery and design end‑to‑value engagements, and partner with Account Executives to drive pipeline, close deals, and stay current on data and AI trends.

Qualifications

• 8+ years across data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, software, cloud, or tech consulting.
• End-to-end data platform design experience (ingestion, transformation, orchestration, serving, governance).
• SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Java, Scala).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data stack tooling (dbt, Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Terraform).
• Proven track record of delivering technical solutions in a customer-facing, pre-sales, or consulting capacity.
• Exceptional communication skills — can articulate deeply technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and hold credibility with engineering teams.
• Experience engaging with executive leadership (CTO, CDO, CIO, CFO) on business strategy and technology roadmap discussions.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery, solution design, and proof-of-value engagements with enterprise customers across all industries.
• Translate complex business requirements into architectures leveraging the Snowflake Data Cloud (data engineering, data science/AI/ML, data sharing, applications, and security/governance).
• Deliver compelling technical presentations, demos, and workshops to audiences ranging from individual contributors to C-suite executives.
• Partner with Account Executives to drive pipeline, accelerate deals, and close business.
• Serve as the voice of the customer back to Product and Engineering teams.
• Build and maintain reusable assets: demo environments, reference architectures, and solution accelerators.
• Stay current on competitive landscape, industry trends, and emerging capabilities across the data & AI ecosystem.
