Job summary

Ripple is seeking a Senior Staff Security Engineer focused on AI Security to be the deepest technical expert at the intersection of artificial intelligence and security. This role spans securing AI systems Ripple builds and leveraging AI to improve security across the organization.

You will define guardrails for LLM adoption, build security tooling, and shape Ripple's external AI security posture through industry standards, regulators, and published practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of security engineering experience in at least two domains.
• Hands-on AI or ML security experience.
• Experience securing agentic AI systems and runtime monitoring.
• Strong cloud security and container security background.

Responsibilities

• Drive the AI Security strategy and roadmap for secure AI systems.
• Design security controls for LLM-integrated and agentic AI systems.
• Own security across the controlled agentic SDLC with guardrails and audit trails.
• Lead security reviews and risk assessments for AI integrations before production.
• Build and scale AI security tooling and Shadow AI detection capabilities.
• Serve as the go-to resource on agentic AI risks across Engineering and Product.
