Job summary

Ripple is seeking a Senior Staff Security Engineer focused on AI Security in New York. You will be the deepest technical expert at the intersection of artificial intelligence and security, owning strategy for AI security across the SDLC and shaping Ripple's external posture on AI security.

You’ll design guardrails for LLMs and agentic AI, build AI-powered security tooling with Engineering and Product, and drive risk reviews for new AI integrations, while influencing regulators and industry

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Security Engineering experience with hands-on AI security exposure.
• Solid understanding of AI/LLM security concepts including prompt injection, data poisoning, and agentic risks.
• Experience securing agentic AI systems with sandboxing, permission scoping, and runtime monitoring.
• Cloud security experience on AWS, GCP, or Azure and CI/CD pipeline security.
• Strong threat modeling skills (STRIDE, MITRE ATLAS, OWASP LLM Top 10).
• Experience in FinTech or regulated environments is a plus (NYDFS, SOC 2).
• Ability to influence technical direction across Engineering, Product, and Security.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the AI Security strategy and roadmap across the agentic SDLC.
• Design and implement security controls for LLM-integrated and agentic AI systems.
• Lead security reviews and risk assessments for AI integrations in production.
• Build and scale AI security tooling and governance in partnership with Engineering and Product.
• Shaped Ripple's external posture on AI security, engaging regulators and industry forums.
