Micron Technology, Inc. seeks a Staff AI Security Engineer to build and operate protections for AI agents and model-backed services across the full lifecycle. You will translate agentic threat patterns into defenses, automate responses, and drive security controls with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on work in a fast-moving area, establishing architectural directions, and collaboration with AI enablement, governance, and detection teams to secure sanctioned AI estate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and strong software engineering expertise in Python, APIs, data pipelines, and security platforms.
• Hands‑on experience securing AI and enterprise environments, including AI agents and LLM applications, tool/function calling, retrieval and memory, orchestration frameworks, MCP integrations, and security controls like guardrails and DLP.

Responsibilities

• Build and harden security tools that protect AI agents, model-backed services, and infrastructure.
• Operate and mature AI guardrails, including in-line protections and data-loss prevention.
• Design detection capabilities for agentic threats and data exfiltration.
• Develop automated, machine-speed response and containment tools.
• Enable rapid revocation of compromised agent access and restore configurations.
