Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Principal AI Security Architect to define and drive AI security strategy within Cyber Defense & Resilience. You will own AI threat modeling, governance, incident response, and act as the primary advisor to executive leadership on secure AI use.

The role requires leadership in developing security standards for AI, coordinating across security functions, and translating research into practical controls for enterprise AI deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information security, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience, incl. 3+ years in AI/ML security.
• Hands-on experience with AI systems, agentic architectures, LLMs, RAG frameworks, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML security principles, including threat vectors and defensive controls.
• Experience developing security strategies, threat models, and governance for emerging tech.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to executive partners.
• Experience leading security programs and incident response efforts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the AI security strategy, threat model, and roadmap for Cyber Defense & Resilience.
• Establish quarterly priorities for AI security initiatives across security functions.
• Define risk criteria and review high-risk AI architectures with customer data access.
• Lead AI-related cybersecurity incidents partnering with incident response teams.
• Create and improve AI incident response playbooks against evolving threats.
• Present AI security posture to executive leadership and governance bodies.
• Monitor AI threats and translate findings into actionable security controls.
