Job summary

SCAN Group is seeking a Sr Staff AI Security Engineer to own the security of our AI ecosystem within the Azure stack. You will govern, design, and enforce secure AI architectures, data flows, and guardrails while hands-on implementing MCP integrations and secure model operations.

The role reports to the Director of Cybersecurity and emphasizes enterprise‑grade protection, threat modeling, and collaboration with the SOC to monitor AI-related security events. Hybrid work with strong impact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Cybersecurity, with 3+ years focused on AI/ML security.
• Proven track record securing Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and Azure Foundry.
• Deep understanding of LLM vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
• Experience securing data workflows for AI, including vector databases.
• Knowledge of AI governance frameworks and regulatory landscape.

Responsibilities

• Design secure-by-design AI architectures across the lifecycle.
• Lead security configuration for Azure OpenAI Studio, Foundry and Search.
• Implement controls including prompt injection mitigations and content filtering.
• Secure MCP integrations for safe AI data exchanges.
• Establish AI security standards based on global frameworks and policy development.
• Build automated guardrails and conduct AI threat modeling and red-teaming.
• Collaborate with SOC to develop dashboards for AI security events.
