Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to set technical direction for the AI Agent Platform team behind Hyper's emergency response products. You will lead architecture for real-time voice AI systems, shape long-term strategy, and mentor engineers across the team.

Production-grade, high-trust environment with a focus on reliability and performance. You’ll collaborate with product and operations, tackle cross-cutting challenges from telephony to AI pipelines, and drive strong testing

Qualifications

• 8+ years in realtime comms with architecture for LLM/agentic/RAG systems.
• Experience with speech, audio streaming, and telephony tech at scale.
• Proven leadership in high-stakes domains and production systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and operation of real-time voice AI systems at scale.
• Solve hardest problems in audio, streaming, telephony, and AI orchestration.
• Drive reliability, security, and performance standards.
• Translate customer problems into clear technical plans with leadership alignment.
• Mentor engineers and elevate team capabilities through reviews.
• Build evaluation, testing, and observability for AI systems.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews for critical services.
• Represent engineering with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
