Job summary

Safe Fleet is seeking a hands-on Senior AI Engineer to build the platform that enables engineers to create AI agents and reusable services. You will modernise the AI stack, automate workflows, and raise the engineers’ capability with strong governance and guardrails.

You will apply AI-Native Engineering and Agentic SDLC practices, mentor teammates, and lead design discussions to establish standards across Cloud Engineering.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI-powered systems in production.
• Strong command of LLMs, transformers, prompt engineering.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Claude, Gemini.
• Backend and cloud engineering with Azure; AWS/GCP helpful.
• Familiarity with AI coding agents (e.g., Copilot, Cursor).
• Mentoring engineers and raising team technical capability.
• Excellent English for technical discussion.

Responsibilities

• Build reusable AI services and agent infrastructure.
• Modernise SafeFleet’s AI stack and governance.
• Design RAG architectures, retrieval pipelines, and MCP.
• Lead architecture discussions and set AI engineering standards.
• Mentor the team and enable others across Cloud Engineering.
• Apply AI-Native Engineering and SDLC practices.
