Job summary

CloudZero is hiring a Senior AI Enablement Engineer to help every team leverage AI while maintaining safety. You will embed with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, People, and Engineering to redesign workflows with AI, build agents and automations, and teach teams to build their own solutions.

You will ensure proper access controls, data connections, logging, evaluation, and spend controls, and choose the right mix of build vs buy the right AI tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical role such as software engineering, IT or systems engineering, solutions/sales engineering, automation, or internal tools.
• Hands-on coding skills in Python, TypeScript, or similar, plus solid SQL and comfort working with REST APIs and webhooks.
• Deep personal use of modern AI tools, including coding agents, LLM APIs, MCP, agent skills or custom GPTs, and retrieval patterns.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business teams to map workflows, friction, and goals before building AI enablement.
• Design, build, and run AI-powered workflows, agents, and automations for quick wins and production systems.
• Integrate AI with CRM, finance, HR, support, collaboration, and data platforms via APIs, MCP servers, iPaaS tools, and custom code.
• Identify reusable patterns and templates from one team's solution.
• Identify gaps in platforms for safe AI deployment: identity, data access, logging, evaluation, spend controls.
• Own build-vs-buy decisions for AI tooling with cost and risk tradeoffs.
• Collaborate with Security, G&A, and Engineering on AI usage standards and data handling.
• Set up evaluations and monitoring to keep workflows working as models evolve.
• Track AI adoption, outcomes, and spend; report to IT leadership using CloudZero insights.
• Raise AI fluency via office hours, sessions, playbooks, and coaching.
• Document everything to ensure repeatability and scalability.
• Create templates and playbooks to turn one team's work into company-wide capability.
• Turn repeated requests into self-serve tools and data products with IT & AI Systems Engineer support.
• Partner with IT and data platform engineers so agents run with proper permissions and cost attribution.
