Job summary

S:US is seeking an AI Engineer to build standards, tools, and controls to move AI solutions from experiments to reliable production. You will report to the Vice President, Apps, Data & AI, and collaborate across IT to deliver secure, reusable AI capabilities that support our mission.

The role focuses on developing AI platforms, ensuring responsible AI and privacy, and embedding security into CI/CD pipelines, while partnering with IT Operations & Security to manage risks and costs.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of professional software engineering in cloud environments.
• Hands-on with agentic AI, agent workflows, and tool integrations.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Experience building secure CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and security checks.
• Experience evaluating AI output with responsible AI, privacy, and security controls.
• Strong full-stack engineering, API integration, version control, and code review skills.
• Familiar with observability tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights) and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve the AI development environment including GitHub, VS Code, Copilot, Azure, agents, and integrations.
• Design reusable patterns for agent workflows and multi-agent coordination.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools and recommend those compatible with Microsoft-first environment.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise platforms and APIs end-to-end.
• Establish testing, evaluation, and review processes for AI outputs.
• Apply privacy and security controls to agent workflows and tools.
• Manage prompt injection, permissions, secrets, and supply chain risks with IT.
• Develop playbooks, training, and office hours for teams to use AI tools.
