Job summary

Decagon is an in-office, leading conversational AI platform helping brands deploy autonomous AI agents across channels. You will design and build systems for configuring, training, testing, and monitoring sophisticated agents with robust abstractions for multiple customers.

You will work with product and design, iterate on requirements, and ship features end-to-end, owning architecture through deployment and improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building software products with strong product thinking.
• Proficient in Python; comfortable across the stack.
• Experience translating complex tech into simple interfaces.
• Complex systems instincts including asynchronous programming and failure modes at scale.
• Strong debugging skills for deep tech stacks.
• Ability to turn customer asks into clear product/technical specs.
• Good judgment on when to ship fast vs. build it right.

Responsibilities

• Eliminate manual work by building self-serve configuration, training, and deployment features.
• Design abstractions that balance power and simplicity for diverse, enterprise use cases.
• Build AI-powered tooling enabling CX/ops to create and manage complex agent workflows without coding.
• Develop monitoring, tracing, and analytics to surface actionable signals and diagnose failures.
• Handle agentic systems at scale, influencing critical flows for Fortune 100 companies.
• Run evaluations on new models and selectively productionize the best ones.
