Job summary

Decagon is building the leading conversational AI platform used by Fortune 100 companies to power personalized, concierge customer experiences. You will design and build the systems that let customers configure, train, test, and monitor sophisticated AI agents with confidence, balancing power and simplicity for diverse use cases.

You will work closely with product and design, own features from architecture through deployment, and help scale critical workflows across chat, voice, email, and SMS

Qualifications

• 7+ years building software products.
• Proficient in Python, comfortable working across the entire stack.
• Experience translating complex technical capabilities into simple, usable interfaces.
• Complex systems instincts, including asynchronous programming and scale-related failure modes.
• Strong debugging skills for deep tech stacks to reach answers quickly.
• Ability to turn customer asks into clear, well-scoped specs.
• Judgment on shipping fast vs slow for correct builds.

Responsibilities

• Design and build systems that let customers configure, train, test, and monitor sophisticated AI agents.
• Collaborate with product and design in discovery, requirements, and launch iterations.
• Own features end to end from architecture to deployment and post-launch iterations.
• Scale agent workflows for large enterprise use cases.
• Run evaluations on new models and integrate winning ones into production traffic.
