Decagon, a leading conversational AI platform, is hiring for a Product Engineering role. You’ll design and build systems that let customers configure, train, test, and monitor sophisticated AI agents, with end-to-end ownership.

You’ll work with product and design, translating customer needs into concrete specs and shipping features that scale for Fortune 100 customers. Strong Python skills and 4+ years building software products are expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building software products with strong product thinking.
• Proficient in Python and comfortable across the stack.
• Experience translating complex technical capabilities into simple interfaces.
• Complex systems instincts, including asynchronous programming and scale failures.
• Strong debugging across deep technology stacks.
• Ability to turn customer asks into clear, well-scoped product and technical specs.
• Judgment on when to ship fast and when to build it right.

Responsibilities

• Design and build systems that let customers configure, train, test, and monitor sophisticated AI agents.
• Work day-to-day with product and design, joining discovery and defining requirements.
• Own features end-to-end from architecture through deployment and iteration.
• Run evaluations on new text and voice models, integrating winners into production traffic.
• Build self-serve tooling for agent configuration and deployment.
