Job summary

EY seeks a high-impact AI platform architect to own the platform vision, roadmaps, and non-functional standards across cloud, hybrid, and edge environments. You’ll shape durable patterns, balance trade-offs, and drive production outcomes from ideas.

You’ll mentor engineers, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver cost-aware reliability and scalable AI capabilities. The role requires 9–12+ years in cloud/infrastructure, strong orchestration and observability skills, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 9–12+ years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, SRE, or platform engineering.
• Proven track record designing and operating cloud/infrastructure for production AI workloads.
• Experience delivering a shared platform adopted by multiple product teams with measurable improvements.
• Deep cloud architecture experience and portable patterns for hybrid/multi-cloud.
• Hands-on engineering in orchestration, networking, IaC, APIs, and observability.
• Experience with AI operations, release controls, evaluation, capacity, and incident learning.
• Ability to make build-versus-buy decisions and explain consequences.
• Cross-functional leadership and stakeholder alignment.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work in a hybrid setting.

Responsibilities

• Set the platform direction: AI platform vision, reference architecture, roadmap, and standards.
• Run the platform as a product; define service tiers, prioritize roadmap, and measure adoption.
• Enable portable model access; design gateways, contracts, policy-aware routing.
• Architect elastic foundations for AI workloads across regions and environments.
• Automate the path to production with progressive release and evidence.
• Define trusted agent runtimes with secure execution and replay.
• Engineer for reliability with SLOs, observability, recovery patterns.
• Make economics visible by linking usage, performance, and quality.
• Guide build-vs-buy and portability decisions with stakeholders.
• Build capability by mentoring engineers and turning tech into reusable patterns.
