Job summary

EY is seeking a senior platform architect to own the AI platform vision and reference architecture across cloud, hybrid, and edge environments. You will shape durable patterns, align stakeholders on practical trade-offs, and drive measurable adoption and value while balancing performance, resilience, and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 9–12+ years of experience.
• Substantial cloud, infrastructure, SRE, or platform design experience for production AI workloads.
• Proven record of delivering a shared platform adopted by multiple product teams.
• Deep cloud architecture knowledge and portable pattern judgment for hybrid/multi-cloud setups.
• Hands-on engineering with orchestration, networking, IaC, APIs, and observability.
• Experience operating AI lifecycle, release controls, capacity, and incident learning.
• Ability to justify build-versus-buy decisions with clear operational and commercial impact.
• Cross-functional leadership and ability to mentor engineers and scales teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and hybrid office presence.

Responsibilities

• Set the platform direction: AI platform vision, reference architecture, roadmap, and standards.
• Run the platform as a product: define service tiers, adoption metrics, and time-to-value.
• Enable portable model access: design gateways, contracts, routing, and controlled experiments.
• Architect elastic foundations for AI workloads: compute, storage, networking with cost balance.
• Automate the path to production: repeatable patterns, progressive release, and evidence.
• Define trusted agent runtimes: secure execution, identities, isolation, and replay.
• Engineer for reliability: service objectives, observability standards, and resilience testing.
• Make economics visible: connect usage, performance, quality signals to improve unit economics.
• Guide strategic choices: build-vs-buy, portability decisions with partners.
• Build capability: mentor engineers, strengthen architecture practices, promote reusable patterns.
