Job summary

EY is seeking senior engineers for its Advanced Forward Engineering team within the Office of the CTO. You will design, build, and deploy AI-native systems in highly regulated client environments, owning delivery end-to-end from problem framing to production release.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering and close collaboration with platform, security, and governance partners. The position demands strong ownership, pragmatic tradeoffs, and the ability to communicate tradeoffs to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering complex software in enterprise/regulatory environments.
• Customer-facing or consulting engineering experience.
• Hands-on with distributed systems, APIs, integrations, or data-intensive apps.
• Experience with AI stacks (LLMs, agentic workflows, orchestration).
• Proven track record owning delivery in real-world conditions.
• Production-grade code under compliance, performance, reliability constraints.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, architecture, security, governance teams.

Responsibilities

• Embed with client teams to frame problems under regulatory constraints.
• Own end-to-end delivery from shaping to deployment and sustainment.
• Implement and manage AI-enabled workflows and orchestration logic.
• Write and review production-quality code aligned with enterprise standards.
• Make real-time tradeoffs balancing functionality, safety, cost, and timeline.
• Ensure solutions meet security, AI integrity, and FinOps constraints.
• Capture field learnings and contribute to platform evolution.
• Collaborate with integration, platform, and architecture teams to enable repeatable delivery patterns.
