Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking senior engineers for the Advanced Forward Engineering team to design, build, and deliver AI-native systems embedded with clients in regulated environments. You will own end-to-end delivery, working with platform, architecture, security, and governance teams to ensure auditable, secure production solutions.

This role emphasizes hands-on coding and pragmatic tradeoffs, balancing cost, safety and timeline while shaping platform capabilities for real business

Qualifications

• 5+ years of delivering complex software in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Experience in customer-facing or consulting engineering roles.
• Hands-on building and deploying distributed systems, APIs, integrations, or data-intensive apps.
• Experience with modern AI stacks (LLM-backed systems, agentic workflows, orchestration).
• Proven track record owning delivery in real-world conditions.
• Production-grade code under compliance, performance and reliability constraints.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, architecture, security and governance teams.

Responsibilities

• Embed with client teams to frame problems and define delivery paths under regulatory constraints.
• Own end-to-end delivery from shaping to deployment and early sustainment.
• Implement AI-enabled workflows and integrations using approved platform capabilities.
• Write and review production-quality code (LangGraph, Python, orchestration layers).
• Balance functionality, safety, cost, and timeline; explain tradeoffs to stakeholders.
• Ensure security, AI integrity, and FinOps constraints; work toward safe-to-ship approvals.
• Capture field learnings and contribute to platform evolution.
• Collaborate with integration, platform and architecture teams to enable repeatable delivery patterns.
