Job summary

EY’s Office of the CTO seeks senior engineers for the Advanced Forward Engineering team to design, build, and deliver AI-native systems embedded with client environments. You will own end-to-end delivery from problem framing to production deployment, working across platform, architecture, security, and governance teams.

This role emphasizes ownership of complex, ambiguous problems in regulated settings, with hands-on coding and pragmatic tradeoffs to deliver auditable and trusted solutions in

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering complex software systems in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Experience in customer-facing or consulting engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying distributed systems, APIs, integrations, or data-intensive applications.
• Practical experience with modern AI application stacks (LLM-backed systems, agentic workflows, orchestration frameworks).
• Proven track record owning delivery in real-world conditions.
• Experience writing and maintaining production-grade code under compliance, performance, and reliability constraints.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering, architecture, security, and governance teams.

Responsibilities

• Embed directly with client teams to frame problems and define delivery paths under regulatory constraints.
• Own end-to-end delivery outcomes from shaping through deployment and sustainment.
• Implement and manage AI-enabled workflows, agentic systems, and integrations using platform capabilities.
• Write and review production-grade code aligned with enterprise standards.
• Make real-time delivery tradeoffs and explain decisions to stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions comply with security, AI integrity, and FinOps constraints.
