Bank of America’s Global Information Security (GIS) team seeks a Cyber Threat Defense Sr AI/ML Engineer to integrate advanced AI into our cyber defense ecosystem.

This senior individual contributor role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership, focusing on threat hunting, anomaly detection, and automated incident response at scale.

The position is based in Denver with an in-office culture and opportunities to drive impactful security initiatives across the organization.

Formación

• 7+ years hands-on ML engineering experience with production models.
• Strong ML fundamentals: training, evaluation, feature engineering, data issues.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Experience building LLM-powered apps and agentic AI systems.
• Production systems at scale: data pipelines, MLOps, deployment.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered capabilities for threat hunting and automated incident response.
• Develop and operationalize custom ML models and LLM workflows for cybersecurity.
• Match technique to problem using deterministic automation, classical ML, or generative AI.
• Build LLM-based tooling to aid analysts and knowledge retrieval.
• Collaborate with GIS teams to enhance security controls with AI.
