Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• 9-12+ years of relevant experience.
• Substantial experience in data, information, solution, or platform architecture, including ownership of production AI, search, or knowledge systems.
• A record of delivering a shared knowledge, search, graph, or grounded-AI capability across varied sources and organizational boundaries.
• Practical fluency with semantic, graph, or retrieval technologies, strong SQL, and a general-purpose programming language.
• Experience designing pipelines that connect analytical, document, event, and operational information with clear production controls.
• Evidence of implementing access, provenance, quality, and lifecycle controls through the production retrieval path.
• Ability to use prototypes and operational evidence to make sound trade-offs.
• Experience guiding complex decisions and mentoring across teams.
• This role requires up to 50% travel and hybrid office capability.

Responsibilities

• Set the knowledge direction: own the target architecture, roadmap, and decision principles for knowledge, retrieval, and grounding capabilities used by AI products.
• Design organizational memory with a federated approach and clear lifecycle expectations.
• Translate business questions with domain experts to define concepts and boundaries for AI systems.
• Engineer trusted ingestion and reusable patterns for diverse sources while preserving authority and provenance.
• Build effective retrieval using search, semantic, graph, and structured methods with visible trade-offs.
• Make evidence inspectable with citations, provenance, quality signals, and evaluation hooks.
• Embed policy in the path by coordinating with security and privacy teams on permitted use and deletion requirements.
• Prove the architecture by leading lighthouse implementations from prototype to production.
• Operate and improve by defining service objectives, observability, and quality measures.
• Build shared capability with reference components and mentorship across teams.
