Job summary

EY is seeking a senior architect to shape knowledge and retrieval foundations for AI products and agents. You will own target architecture, design durable organizational memory, and translate business questions for reliable information systems.

You will lead lighthouse implementations, collaborate with security and legal teams, and drive scalable patterns across the enterprise with up to 50% travel and hybrid work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• 9-12+ years of relevant experience in data, information, solution, or platform architecture.
• Experience delivering shared knowledge or AI capabilities across organizations.
• Hands-on fluency with semantic, graph, or retrieval technologies and SQL.
• Proficiency in a general-purpose programming language.
• Design pipelines connecting analytical, document, event, and operational data with production controls.
• Ability to balance provenance, quality, access, privacy, and lifecycle requirements.
• Strong architectural judgment and prototyping to guide trade-offs.
• Cross-functional leadership and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Travel up to 50% and hybrid office presence.

Responsibilities

• Set the knowledge direction with target architecture, roadmap, and principles for AI knowledge and retrieval.
• Design organizational memory with durable interfaces and clear lifecycle expectations.
• Translate business questions into concepts and boundaries for AI systems.
• Engineer trusted ingestion patterns preserving authority, lineage, and uncertainty.
• Build effective retrieval using search, semantic, graph, and structured methods.
• Make evidence inspectable with citations, provenance, and evaluation hooks.
• Embed policy by collaborating with security, privacy, and legal teams.
• Lead lighthouse implementations from prototype to production at scale.
• Define service objectives, observability, and quality measures post-launch.
• Build shared capability and mentor engineers and stewards.
