Job summary

EY is seeking a senior architectural leader to shape enterprise information, AI knowledge platforms, and retrieval systems across varied sources and domains. The role combines information architecture, data engineering, and policy-aware design to enable trusted AI solutions.

You will drive lighthouse implementations, collaborate with security and legal teams, and ensure scalable, observable knowledge capabilities with strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• 9-12+ years of relevant experience.
• Substantial experience in data, information, solution, or platform architecture, including ownership of production AI, search, or knowledge systems.
• A track record delivering a shared knowledge, search, graph, or grounded-AI capability across varied sources and organizational boundaries.
• Practical fluency with semantic, graph, or retrieval technologies, strong SQL, and a general‑purpose programming language.
• Experience designing pipelines that connect analytical, document, event, and operational information with clear production controls.
• Evidence of implementing access, provenance, quality, and lifecycle controls through production retrieval paths.
• Ability to guide complex decisions and mentor engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the target architecture, roadmap, and decision principles for knowledge, retrieval, and grounding for AI products and agents.
• Design a federated organizational memory with durable interfaces and clear lifecycle expectations.
• Translate business questions with domain experts to define concepts, relationships, and boundaries for AI systems.
• Engineer reusable ingestion patterns that preserve authority, lineage, freshness, licensing, and uncertainty.
• Build effective retrieval by combining search, semantic, graph, and structured methods with trade-off visibility.
• Make evidence inspectable with citations, provenance, quality signals, and evaluation hooks.
• Partner with security, privacy, records, and legal teams to enforce permitted use, access, retention, and deletion rules.
• Lead lighthouse implementations from prototype to production to demonstrate a credible path to scale.
• Define service objectives, observability, incident learning, and quality measures post-launch.
• Create reference components and onboarding practices, mentoring engineers and stewards.
