Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field required.
• 9–12+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in data, information, solution, or platform architecture, including ownership of production AI, search, or knowledge systems.
• Enterprise delivery of a shared knowledge, search, graph, or grounded‑AI capability across varied sources and boundaries.
• Hands‑on depth with semantic, graph, or retrieval technologies, strong SQL, and a general‑purpose programming language.
• Data integration: designing pipelines connecting analytical, document, event, and operational information with production controls.
• Policy‑aware architecture: implement access, provenance, quality, lifecycle controls in production retrieval path.
• Architecture judgment: use prototypes and evidence to make sound trade‑offs.
• Cross‑functional leadership: guide decisions and mentor teams.
• Travel and On‑site requirements: up to 50% travel and hybrid office presence.

Responsibilities

• Set the knowledge direction. Own the target architecture, roadmap, and decision principles for knowledge, retrieval, and grounding for AI products and agents.
• Design organizational memory with a federated approach and clear lifecycle expectations.
• Translate business questions with domain experts to define concepts, relationships, and boundaries for AI systems.
• Engineer trusted ingestion by shaping reusable patterns across sources while preserving authority, lineage, and uncertainty.
• Build effective retrieval by combining search, semantic, graph, and structured methods with trade‑offs for relevance, latency, cost, and explainability.
• Make evidence inspectable by ensuring citations, provenance, quality signals, and evaluation hooks in context.
• Embed policy in the path by collaborating with security, privacy, records, and legal teams on permitted use and retention rules.
• Prove the architecture by leading lighthouse implementations from prototype to production with a credible path to scale.
• Operate and improve by defining service objectives, observability, and quality measures after launch.
• Build shared capability with reference components, onboarding, mentoring, and guiding cross‑functional architecture decisions.
