Job summary

EY is seeking a senior Architect to shape the knowledge and retrieval foundation for AI products. You will lead architecture decisions, ensure provenance and access controls, and collaborate with domain experts across the enterprise.

This role requires travel up to 50% and supports offices nationwide in a hybrid capacity. Ideal candidates bring 9–12+ years of experience in data/knowledge architecture, strong SQL and graph/retrieval tech, and a product‑minded approach to scalable, auditable AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Issues a track record of delivering shared knowledge, search, or grounded‑AI capabilities.
• Hands‑on with semantic, graph, or retrieval technologies; strong SQL and general programming.

Responsibilities

• Define target architecture, roadmap, and decision principles for knowledge and retrieval in AI products.
• Design federated organizational memory with durable interfaces and lifecycle clarity.
• Collaborate with domain experts to translate business questions for AI systems.
• Shape ingestion patterns to bring varied sources while preserving authority and provenance.
• Develop retrieval strategies combining search, semantic, graph, and structured methods.
• Ensure evidence is inspectable with citations, provenance, and evaluation hooks.
• Embed policy enforcing access, retention, and deletion across the path.
• Lead lighthouse implementations from prototype to production and scale.
• Define service objectives, observability, and quality measures post-launch.
• Create reference components and mentor engineers across teams.
