Job summary

Docker, Inc is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead complex AI-driven deployments for enterprise customers. You will design, build, and ship production solutions leveraging Docker’s AI platform and container tooling.

You will collaborate with Solutions Architecture, engineering, and security teams to ensure scalable, secure implementations and strong customer outcomes in a remote-first environment. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in a customer-facing technical role.
• Technical leadership across multiple engagements or teams with delivery standards.
• Expert production coding skills in Go, Python, or TypeScript; shipping reliable software.
• Deep Docker expertise: Dockerfiles, multi-stage builds, image registries and security basics.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and agents in production, MCP, and evaluation approaches.
• Knowledge of software supply chain security: SBOMs, signing, attestation, hardened images, secure CI/CD.
• Experience integrating with enterprise identity providers, SSO, secrets managers, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
• Ability to scope complex work in ambiguous environments and balance scope, speed, and quality.
• Excellent communication with engineers, security teams, and executives.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customer teams to design, build, and ship production solutions using Docker products.
• Deliver artifacts: MCP servers, Docker Sandbox integrations, and toolchains for agents and models.
• Integrate the AI platform with customers' stacks including identities, secrets, registries, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Own engagements: scope, sequence, and unblock blockers; contribute code when needed.
