Job summary

Docker, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer to build AI-powered developer tools and the platform behind them. You will work at the intersection of AI, developer experience, and platform engineering, building tools for Docker's engineers to prototype, deploy, and scale AI developer tools.

You will collaborate with Senior Manager, AI Developer Tools, and cross-functional teams to craft reliable, scalable solutions and ship iteratively in a fast-moving AI landscape.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Hands-on experience building LLM-powered apps or AI agents
• Working knowledge of LLM APIs and prompt engineering
• Experience building scalable backend services and distributed systems
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, Java, or Python
• Experience building developer tools or internal platforms
• Strong product judgment and async communication
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production AI agents for developer productivity
• Integrate LLM providers and agent frameworks into reliable tools
• Develop platform infrastructure to enable AI-native development
• Create integrations with CI/CD, observability, and deployment systems
• Instrument tools to measure adoption and impact
