Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an engineer to join the Trust Platform team to build secure, scalable AI-enabled backend services. You will push AI development tools, integrate AI agents into human workflows, and ensure observability and reliability.

The role emphasizes Java development, an AI-first mindset, RESTful APIs, AWS services, and CI/CD in a monorepo environment. Office-Flex enables in-person collaboration three days per week.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional Java development experience.
• AI-first approach to engineering and fluency across the stack.
• Experience with AI tools in active development workflows.
• Ability to design and test prompts for structured LLM outputs.
• Design and consume RESTful APIs with AWS knowledge.
• Experience with monorepos, Bazel or Maven.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins and container operations.
• Frontend/service languages: TypeScript/Python a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship production-grade software with AI as a core part of development workflow.
• Design and orchestrate complex systems where AI agents integrate into human workflows.
• Architect and maintain backend services integrating LLMs via external APIs with observability.
• Critically evaluate code for correctness, quality, security and performance.
• Develop test automation and quality tooling for unit/CI tests and flake awareness.
