Job summary

Caylent is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead Caylent's Cloud Native Applications team on large, strategically important client engagements. You will guide software engineers and architects, align with sales and project managers, and stay hands-on with AI-first software delivery in complex, enterprise settings.

You will help craft technical requirements, document designs, and make architecture decisions while managing delivery risk and client relationships.

Qualifications

8+ years of proven software development and AWS cloud-native systems experience.
4+ years of leading teams of engineers and architects on complex engagements.
Experience managing professional services and multi-stakeholder projects with legacy systems.
Strong background in scalable architectures and modern engineering practices.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of 5-8 engineers and architects with hands-on guidance.
Gather requirements, drive architectural decisions, and refine backlogs.
Own client-facing updates, risk management, and steering committee communications.
Collaborate with PMs to scope, plan, and deliver AI-first, production-ready solutions.
Coach and mentor team members to grow in high-stakes engagements.
