Job summary

Caylent, a fully remote global AI-first cloud services company, seeks a Principal Data Architect to lead complex cloud data solutions. You will define strategic roadmaps for clients, mentor architects, and drive data standards across engagements.

The role requires deep AWS data experience, experience with SageMaker, GenAI/Bedrock, and DataOps practices. We offer a comprehensive remote-first package and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience designing and building complex data systems.
• 4+ years in AWS data landscape and cloud data technologies.
• Experience with BI dashboards, data governance, and data modeling.
• Hands-on with big data processing (Spark, streaming, NoSQL).
• Proficiency in Python for analytics and automation.
• Experience with SageMaker and GenAI/Bedrock integrations.
• Familiarity with DataOps practices and IaC.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define strategic roadmaps and outcomes for clients in a consultative capacity.
• Act as a data engineering SME for engagements with pre-sales teams.
• Lead technical interviews for Architect and Engineer candidates and guide teams.
• Oversee development and implementation of data standards and operating procedures.
