AdeptID is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build the core services behind talent matching, delivering fast, reliable APIs for global HR tech clients and AdeptID staffing. You will own production services and a low-latency serving layer while collaborating with Data Science on language models.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Python.
• Experience designing and operating production APIs and backend services at scale.
• Experience designing asynchronous APIs (queues, events, webhooks, or streaming) and reasoning about concurrency.
• Familiarity with Python on AWS, infrastructure as code using CDK, SQS, and Postgres with VectorChord for vector search.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development using LLM tools and coding agents.
• Strong fundamentals in testing, observability, and debugging across distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend services and APIs powering talent matching.
• Build asynchronous, event-driven APIs and data pipelines under load.
• Collaborate with Data Science to deploy models to production services.
• Apply AI-assisted development practices to design, write, test, and review code.
• Own quality: testing, monitoring, latency, and cost.
• Work with Product and Operations to deliver recruiter and candidate features.
