Job summary

Within is hiring senior backend and applied AI engineers to build the core systems powering multimodal agents in real enterprise environments. You will design and ship production-grade backend services handling data ingestion, orchestration, and secure, scalable deployment.

Expect collaboration with product, design, and peers to translate ambitious AI capabilities into reliable features for Fortune 500 customers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing and shipping production-grade software.
• Strong backend design, observability, and security focus.
• Experience shipping AI-powered features to production.

Responsibilities

• Build the backbone of Within's AI platform by designing and deploying backend services end-to-end.
• Turn AI pipelines into dependable, scalable workflows with proper evals and testing.
• Define security and isolation patterns and ensure enterprise-grade reliability.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to ship features with velocity and quality.
• Set technical direction for subsystems and mentor junior engineers.
