DEPT® is seeking a Senior Engineer to own substantial parts of projects, drive them to completion, and collaborate across product, engineering, marketing, sales, and finance. The role focuses on backend systems with frontend exposure, and involves shipping with pragmatism while applying AI capabilities to client work.

You will work with modern technologies, design scalable services, and contribute to a fast‑paced environment that values craft and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Production‑level backend systems experience.
• Strong Python proficiency.
• Experience designing and integrating APIs.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Frontend basics in Angular/Typescript.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy scalable backend services and APIs.
• Translate incomplete specs into clear tasks and estimates.
• Design system architectures and infrastructure decisions.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and define contracts for frontend teams.
• Perform code reviews to raise quality.
• Identify blockers early and guide the team.
• Promote testing, security, performance, and CI/CD best practices.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders via email, calls, and in person.
• Apply GenAI capabilities to client work and share templates.
• Share learnings internally and externally.
