Job summary

Penn Foster Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, AI Experience to build AI-native products end-to-end. You will own features shaping learner discovery, enrollment, and progress, and work across product, platform, and engineering teams.

This fully remote role emphasizes agentic development practices and scalable, secure systems. You will design retrieval pipelines, write evals, and integrate model APIs with attention to tokenization, latency, and cost.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building customer-facing products at a high-quality software company.
• Strong UI and TypeScript fundamentals, with experience across the full stack (Browser technologies, Node, PostgreSQL).
• Experience integrating model APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, others) with attention to costs and latency.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship full-stack features end-to-end using TypeScript, Vue.js, and Node, deployed on Azure.
• Write evals and observability for LLM features.
• Lead code reviews, set technical standards for AI-assisted development, and mentor engineers on prompting and agentic workflows.
• Ensure scalability, security, observability, and unit economics of the systems.
