Job summary

Remotely is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead hands-on AI development in a greenfield environment, delivering agentic AI from concept to day-to-day use. You will work directly with senior leadership in a fully remote Germany-based setup.

You will design and ship agentic AI systems, prototype rapidly, and build AI-assisted tooling for managers and educators. German fluency is required, with English used in the technical context.

Qualifications

• Senior-level software or ML engineering with real-user LLM products.
• Strong Python and experience with agentic systems, RAG, tool use and evaluation.
• Track record of clean, maintainable engineering, not just prototypes.
• Fluent German (English in tech environment).

Responsibilities

• Design, build and ship agentic AI systems and automations that replace manual work.
• Prototype quickly, then productionize ideas.
• Build AI-assisted tooling for managers and educators, including AI-supported workflows such as candidate pre-screening.
• Support the wider architecture vision: data hub, systems integration and the AI layer on top.
• Test new models, methods and tools pragmatically, and put the useful ones to work.
• Make fast, sound technical decisions with direct access to decision-makers.
