Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Senior UX Designer to lead AI-powered learning experiences for K–12 platforms. You will own end-to-end design, partner with product, engineering, data analytics, and UX research, and craft intuitive, accessible interfaces.

The role emphasizes rigorous craft, research-informed decisions, and a focus on trustworthy AI for students and educators. The position is primarily remote with occasional in-person collaboration as needed.

Qualifications

7+ years of UX design experience with shipped products and measurable impact.
Experience conducting usability tests and mixed-method research.
Experience designing AI-powered product features (conversational interfaces, adaptive systems, generative surfaces, or ML-driven recommendations).
Bachelor’s degree welcomed; candidates from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Experience working in Agile or Lean UX environments.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end product design from user flows to high-fidelity designs and handoff.
Design AI-powered experiences including conversational interfaces and adaptive learning flows.
Design for all states, edge cases, error conditions, and empty states across web and mobile.
Deliver responsive designs across web and mobile and maintain design system consistency.
Use AI tools to iterate concepts faster and bring ideas to life earlier in the process.
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Data Analytics to shape product direction.
Mentor across the design team and contribute to team practices and workflows.
