Job summary

Premera is seeking an AI Engineer IV to provide leadership in developing AI/ML solutions from conception to production. You will guide solutioning, prototype new AI products, and mentor junior engineers while deploying reliable AI infrastructure.

This remote role involves collaborating with external stakeholders, designing scalable data pipelines, and ensuring governance, quality, and best practices across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or 2+ years of related IT/analytics experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in developing, deploying, and maintaining AI/ML systems; up to 2 years substitutable with AI-centered Master’s/PhD or AI certifications.

Responsibilities

• Recommend and develop comprehensive AI systems and frameworks.
• Lead prototype construction and MVPs to validate AI/ML solutions.
• Design and implement cloud architecture for large multi‑faceted AI systems.
• Build robust data pipelines driving complex AI systems.
• Develop low-latency APIs/services to deploy AI models into apps.
