Job summary

Premera is seeking an AI Engineer IV to lead AI/ML initiatives, shape system architecture, and mentor engineers. This remote/telecommuter role focuses on creating scalable AI infrastructure, prototyping solutions, and ensuring production-ready AI capabilities.

You will drive end-to-end development, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and stay current with AI research to deliver robust, maintainable AI systems.

Qualifications

• Experience leading AI/ML projects and teams.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals for AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Recommend and develop comprehensive systems and frameworks for AI applications and products.
• Pitch concepts to team leadership and lead construction of prototypes and MVPs to validate AI/ML solutions.
• Assist in designing and implementing the cloud architecture of large multi-faceted AI systems.
• Assist in the design and scaffolding of robust data pipelines that drive large complex AI systems.
• Develop specifications for low latency APIs and services to deploy AI models.
• Develop code to monitor models and AI systems ensuring reliable performance.
• Participate in an agile-like development team and maintain documentation.
