Job summary

SQDM is building a new real estate tech product and seeks a Senior AI Engineer to join our founding AI team in Bellevue (Hybrid — 3 days/week) or remote. You’ll turn generative AI ideas into production-ready features, architect AI-powered agents, and influence the long-term AI roadmap alongside our Ruby on Rails + React stack on AWS.

You’ll own end-to-end AI system development, collaborate with backend and frontend engineers, and manage data pipelines for real estate datasets to support training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or Data Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML or software engineering roles with production-grade AI systems.
• Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or LangChain.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI models/services in a cloud environment (AWS preferred).
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems design.
• Solid grasp of LLMs, Generative AI, and RAG methodologies.
• Excellent collaboration skills and a track record of delivering results in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• AI Agent Development: Design, build, and maintain intelligent AI agents to automate workflows.
• AI/ML System Development (End-to-End): Architect and maintain scalable AI systems using AWS AI and open-source frameworks.
• Full-Stack Integration: Integrate AI capabilities with Rails and React, build reliable APIs.
• Data Pipeline Management: Develop pipelines for real estate datasets to support training and inference.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor models and APIs for latency, reliability, and cost.
• Collaboration & Technical Leadership: Work with product, data, and engineering teams and mentor peers.
• Innovation & Applied Research: Explore LLMs, RAG, and agentic AI to solve complex problems.
