Job summary

Prophetic Software in the United States is hiring a senior AI platform engineer to join the research team building production pipelines powering SearchAI, ZoneAI, SiteAI, CouncilAI, and DevMap. You will ship production code that runs nationally and collaborate with engineering and product on architecture and prioritization.

You’ll bring a PhD or equivalent depth, 5+ years shipping production systems, deep experience with LLMs in production, and strong Python skills.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field — or equivalent depth built in industry.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience shipping production systems.
• Strong systems engineering: data pipelines, orchestration, and agentic systems in production.
• Experience scaling large systems around model inference and data processing.
• Deep, hands-on experience with LLMs in production, including prompt and context engineering and evaluation.
• Strong Python skills and comfort owning deployments.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve AI systems powering SearchAI, ZoneAI, SiteAI, CouncilAI, and DevMap.
• Design agentic harnesses to crawl and extract from municipal sources.
• Scale inference and data processing across hundreds of millions of records.
• Work with engineering on architecture decisions and with product on feature prioritization.
• Evaluate and integrate new AI capabilities as the field evolves.
