Job summary

Jack Henry's AI Platform team is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to turn promising prototypes into production-ready AI systems and workflows. You’ll own AI production deployments, collaborate with security and cloud teams, mentor engineers, and work with internal users to scale POCs into reliable software.

The role emphasizes observable, auditable, policy-bounded AI, with a hybrid office requirement across multiple locations including Cedar Falls, IA. Travel up to 5% is possible.

Qualifications

• Must have 6+ years of software development experience.
• Production ownership of AI systems or AI features in products.
• Experience with a major cloud environment (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Experience with unit testing and end-to-end automated testing.
• Experience with Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Translate AI proofs of concept into production-ready software.
• Lead technical/engineering support for new and existing applications.
• Develop, test and review applications based on business requirements and best practices.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud infra, and AI governance teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Lead unit tests, integration tests, and evals for AI systems.
• Create technical documentation and stay updated on AI trends.
